Day 2
Private Day Tour: Oregon Coast & Cannon Beach
In 1967 the Oregon Beach Bill established the stunning sea stacks and windswept beaches of the Oregon coast as public land. The result was a shoreline protected from over-development and left with an endless string of state parks and small towns. On this day-long excursion you’ll explore the northern stretch of shore between Astoria and Cannon Beach as your guide leads you through an oceans-worth of American history, coastal culture, and pristine nature.
Your day starts in the bustling seaport of Astoria, where the Columbia River feeds into the Pacific, and Lewis & Clark and John Jacob Astor concluded their epic expeditions. Wander the town’s docks, wind up the Astoria Column, and walk through Fort Clatsop, before continuing south along beaches and bluffs to Cannon Beach. A quintessential beach town, the savory smell of chowder houses meets the briny ocean air on Cannon Beach’s picturesque streets. After strolling through the town, you’ll take to the beach for an interpretative nature walk to Haystack Rock with your naturalist guide.
Complete your day by walking through a maze of Sitka spruce in Ecola State Park. The forest opens to a secluded beach where you’ll cap off your tour with a glass of wine among the crashing waves.

Suggested dinner at Toro Bravo

Day 3:
Half day private garden tour with picnic
Starting with a hike, such a quintessential outdoor Portland activity you’ll walk right into sweeping vistas from atop Washington Park. It reveals the beautiful and pointed Mt. Hood while just behind you sits the calm and serene Portland Japanese Gardens. Steeped in tradition the grounds lead you from place to place with intention, allowing you to pause and take in the beauty.
Across town, but still well within city limits, the 62-acre Grotto dazzles with a series of gardens dedicated to Mary and the Catholic church. But you don’t have to be religious to enjoy walking through vast gardens that change with the seasons and often involve elaborate decorations at holidays, such as the Christmas seasons Festival of Lights.
With your guide, you will make a stop at Woodlawn’s P’s & Q’s Market, an upscale store for gourmet groceries, and organic produce. They will  filled a basket with your choice of sandwich, salads and beverages.
We will end at  Cathedral Park on the Willamette River. You will enjoy lunch beneath the majestic St. Johns Bridge.
