Dinner reservation at Hangar on the Wharf Pub & Grill
Feast on halibut, wild salmon and king crab.

Day 2:
Whale-watching cruise from Auke Bay
A local tour guide will take you through a scenic route to Auke Bay, where you board one of our jet boats. Once you’re aboard our comfortable boat, our captain and naturalist lead the way on an unforgettable search for whales in Favorite Channel, Stephens Passage, Lynn Canal, or Saginaw Channel.
Binoculars are provided so you can better see the humpbacks, killer whales, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, bald eagles, black bears, and towering mountains. With the growing abundance of whales in the area and their comfort with our small boats, you are bound to see many, so prepare for your heart to skip more than a few beats.
Rest of the afternoon in Juneau
Visit the Alaska State Museum and learn about the history of Alaska Natives Russian colony and the gold rush.
Take a tour of Alaskan Brewing Company, Alaska’s most popular craft brewery.
The short, free tour, which starts every hour, is fairly interesting, with views of the brewing equipment behind glass and an amazing worldwide beer bottle collection, but it’s the tasting that makes it fun.
Or if you are looking for something out of the beaten path, head to the cemetery and its romantic lichen-covered tombstones. Joseph Juneau and Richard Harris, the pioneers who founded the city, are buried there.
Dinner reservation at Zephyr for a taste of Provence with the local fish and seafood. It is the most elegant restaurant in town.

Day 3:
Private Mendenhall Glacier Trek
Your adventure starts with convenient pick-up from your hotel. Then it’s off for a stellar drive to the famed Mendenhall Valley, where you’ll don your trekking gear and head out alongside your expert guide toward the glacier itself! Next, you’ll start up a fairly strenuous, but immensely beautiful, trail toward the ice, passing around lovely Mendenhall Lake via an ancient temperate rainforest. Later, glacier-side, you’ll suit step into crampons for the true adventure. You’ll pass alongside yawning, massive crevasses, crystal-clear meltwater streams, and bright blue glacial pools. And because it’s an exclusive private tour, you get to decide what’s next!
Dinner reservation at the Gold Room for a surf & turf dinner
The intimate dining room is decorated in an opulent art deco style, and the menu includes various cuts of beef and seafood.
